For Sierra Mist Cranberry Splash

My husband and I were at the grocery store tonight picking up the final ingredient for the white chili we plan to make, when what to my wondering eyes should appear? Sierra Mist Cranberry Splash! Yup, that's right, it's back on the shelf! If you are not familiar with Sierra Mist Cranberry Splash, it is a seasonal soft drink that is available to purchase for only about 3 months out of the year (October through December). The original Sierra Mist is a lemon-lime flavored caffeine-free soft drink, owned by PepsiCo. This simply adds a cranberry flavor, which makes for the perfect holiday beverage.  Also available is a diet version, Sierra Mist Free Cranberry Splash.

We have been getting it every year since it was first released in 2006 and I must say, it certainly is tasty! It's also a nice quick fix if you don't have time to make punch for last minute holiday gatherings, and even makes an attractive substitute for champagne for those who don't drink alcohol. We really stock up on the stuff while we can, so when they had buy 3, get 3 free at the store tonight you can bet we both grabbed an armful! Of course it's always sad when it begins disappearing from the shelves after Christmas, but it's something to look forward to the next year. If you've never had the pleasure, be sure to give it a whirl while it's still around. Next up, Coca Cola's Santa Packs!
