A Thanksgiving Giveaway!

It's the 2nd of November and only 3 weeks before Thanksgiving. Just in time for our next giveaway too! One of America's fondest Thanksgiving traditions is watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. As a child I still recall the excitement of seeing my favorite characters floating down the streets of New York City. Actually, I believe that excitement never dies for most of us! Which leads me to our giveaway item, a book published by LIFE titled "America's Parade". It captures this sentiment by exploring the origins of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade as it takes you on a historical journey into the heart of one of the world's largest and most anticipated annual events. For A Little Halloween Giveaway

It's the first of October, and that means many of us will be turning our attention to the Fall season and Halloween festivities. To help get you in the spirit, we are having our second little giveaway! This time we have lip balms featuring Peanuts characters and fun flavors, along with little books filled with seasonal recipes and tips. Best of all, we will be selecting 3 winners, which of course increases your odds of winning! Each winner will get one lip balm and one book.

A Holly, Jolly Giveaway

Tonight I went and picked up a few CDs for a giveaway I've been planning on the Christmas Movies & Music website.  Yahoo recently added new application features to the groups, that I'd like to see everyone utilize.  I thought it would be a good way to get people involved.

For this group I added sections like Best Holiday Books, Best Holiday Movies, Best Holiday Music, For Sale, How To (Instructions) and Recipes.  The object of the contest is to post 20 listings in any of those catergories and then you can pick a CD on a first come, first serve basis.

I hope the members will enjoy using these new features, but mostly I just wanted to do this as a way of saying thank you to those who have contributed to the group in so many ways.  Would you like to get it on it?  It's not too late to jump in!  Here's a list of the CDs up for grabs:
