Forever Fun Holiday Collectibles For 2013

Some of you may recall that many years ago a company called Memory Lane released a line of holiday collectible figures of the Peanuts and Rankin & Bass Rudolph characters. I bought quite a few of the Charlie Brown Christmas and Great Pumpkin set, but they eventually dropped the line and it was discontinued. A few years later a company called Forever Fun popped up, which not holds the rights to the designs. They started releasing some of these sets and even added new pieces each year. They have not been as easy to find as I would like, as I think their products are excellent, but one sure place I have always found them in CVS and sometimes Toys R Us. Every year I look forward to seeing what they put out for the holiday season and have gotten many of their items. So, I thought I would share some of their new line up with you, as seen on their website. You can also follow them on their Facebook page for more product updates!

Also posted on their Facebook and blog are photos of these items:

Peanuts Halloween Display

Of all the holiday collectibles in the world, nothing is more beloved by me than the Peanuts. A few years ago I was able to pick up a couple sets from a Great Pumpkin display by Memory Lane. Last year Forever Fun released some new Peanuts figures dressed in Halloween costumes and available exclusively at CVS. The ones available were Charlie Brown as Dracula, Lucy as a witch, Schroeder as the Phantom of the Opera and Snoopy as the Masked Marvel. I picked them up but felt limited on how to display them. Imagine my joy when I saw they finished the collection this year with Linus as Frankenstein, Sally as the Bride of Frankenstein and Snoopy as the Mummy (with Woodstock as an archaeologist)! Now it contains all of the classic monsters, which makes for a great collection, retail at $6.99 each.

I decided to move the Masked Marvel Snoopy over to the Great Pumpkin set and place the World War I Flying Ace in the pumpkin patch where he tricks Linus and Sally into thinking the Great Pumpkin is rising. I haven't done much to the background of the Monsters series, but I have an idea for a haunted house theme that I'd like to develop. The fun thing about sets like these is that you can always add to or change them up from year to year.

New Peanuts Halloween Collectibles

So, I was out at CVS last night when I saw a new series of Peanuts figures for Halloween! I was so excited, and since I had some great coupons that expired that day, I decided to pick them up. This particular set has Snoopy, Charlie Brown, Lucy and Schroeder dressed up in various costumes.  It's not really related to The Great Pumpkin special, but still very cool! I already have quite a few pieces from the original set, so I couldn't resist. Apparently they have another series coming out and I wouldn't mind getting my hands on those as well, especially Peppermint Patty and the new Snoopy, Flying Ace display set! I have posted some pics of these collectibles below, but you can find out more by visiting the Forever Fun website.
