Vintage Easter Greeting Cards

Here is a round up of some favorite Mid-Century Easter greeting cards. I love the artwork, as it's so whimsical and reminds me of childhood. Card sending is a dying art form, but I am one of those few who still enjoy keeping up the tradition. If only they still made cards like this! Thankfully you can still find some manufactures that print these type of cards as a novelty, not to mention you can find them at swap meets, yard sales and of course eBay. Hope you enjoy these for now!

Vintage Cards For Independence Day

For Americans there is no patriotic holiday that tops Independence Day! It is the day we celebrate the very founding of our nation, and as John Adams said the very day before signing the Declaration of Independence;

"It ought to be commemorated as the day of deliverance, by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires, and illuminations, from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward forever more."

And commemorate we have! Every Fourth of July our citizens come out of hiding and fill our parks and cities to wave old Glory in remembrance of all that make us Americans. So, to commemorate this year, I am featuring a round up of some vintage patriotic greeting cards that symbolize the continuation of that tradition in this nostalgic slice of Americana!

Vintage Christmas Cards

It's a little early for Christmas, and it's not even 'Christmas In July', but I thought I would spread a little cheer by sharing some vintage Christmas cards I scanned from my collection. I've posted these as high quality images, so feel free to download and print them for your holiday projects!

I found these at a yard sale a few years ago and always found the nativity themes particularly special.

Can't say I would mind riding over those snowy hills "in a one horse open sleigh" in that Currier & Ives type setting either!

These last two were actually sent to me by my friend and fellow Christmas lover, Jim, over at Christmas Movies & Music. This is a great example of cards worth keeping!
