Featured Music By George M. Cohen

It's Flag Day and I can think of no better way to celebrate than by watching the 1942 classic film, Yankee Doodle Dandy, a musical biopic starring James Cagney about the life of composer/singer/dancer George M. Cohan. Cohan was the author of many catchy popular songs such as, "Over There", "Give My Regards to Broadway" and the title track, "Yankee Doodle Dandy". To mark this special occasion, we have selected the patriotic hit, "You're A Grand Old Flag" as our featured song. Enjoy, and sing along with the lyrics below, if you feel so inclined!

You're A Grand Old Flag
by George M. Cohan

You're a grand old flag
You're a high flying flag
And forever in peace may you wave
You're the emblem of
The land I love
The home of the free and the brave
Ev'ry heart beats true
'Neath the Red, White and Blue
Where there's never a boast or brag
Should auld acquaintance be forgot
Keep your eye on the grand old flag
