A Simple Thanksgiving Craft

I love easy crafts! Most of us don't have the time or resources to delve into anything too elaborate, yet we desire to indulge our creative side. Or perhaps you just want something to keep the kids busy while you're trying to prepare Thanksgiving dinner. Here is one such craft that is attractive and simple, but most importantly, practical. These Leafy Napkin Ties, found on the Better Homes & Garden website, will serve two purposes as napkin ring and place card for your seating arrangement. The basic leaf design adds a clean, Fall touch to your dinner table and can be discarded or saved for the following year.

MATERIALS:
● Card stock in assorted fall colors
● Assorted beads
● 3-inch head pin
● Leather cord
● Hole punch and matching eyelets to fit the leather cord

DIRECTIONS:
Cut the leaves from the assorted card stock. Punch a hole and slide a piece of leather cord through it. Add beads to the ends of the leather cord and tie a knot on each end. Wrap the leather cord around the napkin with the leaf on top. Write the name of the person on the leaf.

*You can use the leaf pattern provided on the Better Homes & Garden website by signing up, or be creative and create your own template.

Very nice idea - I will be traveling during Thanksgiving but I will keep it in mind for the future.
